Chengdu Panda-monium

Chengdu Arrival in Chengdu, cosmopolitan Chinese metropolis. You’ll be met by our local guide transfer your hotel in downtown. After check in you’ll pay a visit to Renmin Park get acquainted with local feel of the leisurely lifestyle of Chengdu. Sit down, order a pot of fragrant Chinese tea, of a-hundred-year-old teahouse. See the locals playing Mahjong, dancing and doing water calligraphy! Next will be an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street, a lively paradise full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows and other activities. This was where Hollywood got its inspiration for the sequel movie “Kung Fu Panda 2”. This old town also doubles as a market so you will see locals look at you with wonder. Optional activity: In this evening, watch Sichuan Opera and be entertained by Sichuan performing arts using stick puppets, face changing masks, fire spitting, rolling lights, folk music, acrobatic and dance in Shufeng Yayun Teahouse (usually performs during ~)

Chengdu This morning, your private guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel and start you’re your 15km trip visiting the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding , which is located in a large forest complex of 20 hectares with magnificent scenery. There are many different enclosures depending on the ages of pandas (babies, teenagers, adults), where getting up close to these amazing animals is very easy and you will get many opportunities for fantastic photos when they are munching on bamboos, playing with each other or some even climbing to the tree top. They are more active in the morning till about . After that some of them will go to sleep. There is an opportunity to cuddle a panda to take photos if you are interested in (extra charge apply for the unique experience as there is a limited quota of the number of people who can get close to the pandas). Two to three hours visiting in the research base is needed to see those pretty cute and cuddly pandas. Then let’s turn to the Broad and Narrow Alleys, an ancient street lined with many old houses and some newly-built with traditional style. It is really fun to stroll along the street with nice atmosphere and find many interesting shops and nice restaurants. You may have your own lunch here, or you can ask for your guide’s advice. Continue to visit Jinsha Site Museum It is a huge site museum combining history and archeology( It covers five square-kilometers, and dates back to 12th to 7th century B.C. (approximately 2900 – 3200 years ago)). There are total five exhibition halls displaying the culture of ancient Shu Kingdom during the Shang and Zhou periods (17th century BC – 256 BC).
