ITINERARY

Cruise trip tours in Myanmar:  

 MYNCRS-01 Highlights of Yangon trip:

Meet your private guide and savvy driver upon pickup from Thiwala cruise terminal before driving to Yangon. Firstly, visit Sule Pagoda, which is claimed to enshrine one of eight Buddha’s hairs. Its gilded dome is topped with a golden spire reaching far into the skyline of downtown Yangon.

Then stop at Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, which houses a magnificent 65m-long reclining Buddha donning a crown encrusted with diamonds and gems.

Follow your guide downtown to discover British Colonial Building. Marvel at the old charms of magnificent colonial architecture as you stroll through the City Hall, Inland Water Transport Building, Custom House, and the Stand Hotel – one of Southeast Asia’s historic colonial hotels.

After lunch in a local restaurant, continue to visit Bogyoke Aung San Market, which is well known for its large selections of gemstones and longyi (Burmese traditional costumes). Expect to find rare antiques, traditional handicrafts, clothes, and regional dishes for sale there.

Next up is Botahtaung Pagoda (or the Pagoda of thousand military leaders), a prominent landmark located on Yangon’s waterfront. Housed inside the pagoda is a collection of relics of Buddha transported from India over two thousand years ago by these military leaders.

Afterwards, travel northwest to visit National Museum. Its main treasure – the impressive gem-encrusted Lion Throne that belonged to the last king of Myanmar – makes up for the inadequately labeled and lit exhibitions. See the ostentatious lifestyle of the old kings as you stroll through the display of lavish beds, gold rugs, ivory kitchen chairs, and embellished ceremonial attires.

Finish the trip with a visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, located atop of a hill. Start from the foot of the hill, and follow your guide on a long entrance stairway to the main terrace, passing by various markets, worships, and monasteries. Learn about the daily life of local dwellers in the immediate vicinity and Burmese Buddhism as you visit the monks. If you don’t want to climb, elevators and escalators are also available. As you come up from the covered walkway, marvel at the glittering marbled main terrace, dotted with holy worship halls and pavilions. Take off your shoes before venturing deep inside to listen to your guide introducing about Myanmar spiritual beliefs. Then transfer back to your cruise ship in the late afternoon.

Meet your private guide and savvy driver upon pickup from Thiwala cruise terminal before driving to Yangon. Visit to World famous Great Golden Shwedagon Pagoda and Chaukhtat Gyi, the biggest colossal reclining image in Myanmar.

Visit to Bogyoke Museum.

And walking tour to City center landmark Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park and downtown of Yangon with remarkable sites of Colonial Buildings & City Hall.

Botataung Pagoda and explore the daily lives of people around jetty and Yangon River view for photo shoot. Then transfer back to your ship around 17:00.Day trip Bago from Yangon: Meet your private guide and savvy driver upon pickup from Thiwala cruise terminal before driving to Bago which a city and the capital of Bago Region in Myanmar. It is located 80 km (about 50 miles) from Yangon. It has a population of 220,000.

Visit to Shwe Thalhyaung Pagoda; the image has a length of 55 meter and a height of 16 meter, is the second largest Reclining Buddha Image in the world.

Visit to Shwe Mawdaw Pagoda or ‘Great Golden God Pagoda’ was built around 1000 years ago and located in Bago, Myanmar. It was originally built to a height of 23 meters and was rebuilt higher several times until it finally reached its present 114 meters in 1954.

Visit to Kyaikpun Pagoda which has four gigantic Buddha images all in sitting back to back against a brick pillar. This pagoda was buit by King Dhammazedi in A.D. 1476. Impressive images are 27 meters height and keep in a fair state of preservation. 

Visit the famous Myatharlyaung Buddha Image. It is another huge reclining Buddha image. It is out in the open without any cover of any sort.

12:00:  Lunch break at Myanmar traditional restaurant (pay on own).

This afternoon, visit to Mahazedi Pagoda. It is one of the revered pagodas in Bago. The Pagoda was built by King Bayinnaung in 1560 A.D. It is known that the pagoda enshrines a tooth-relic brought from Sri Lanka.

Visit to Hinthagone Pagoda.

Visit to Shwegugale Pagoda. Extremely mouldy and old-looking but beautiful is the Shwegugale Pagoda. Unlike any temples, the stupa is a circular tunnel where 64 Buddha statues are kept. The pagoda dates to 1494 and the reign of Myanmar King Byinnya Yan. Back to Yangon in the late afternoon & transfer back to your cruise ship.

 MYNCRS-03 Day trip Thanlyin & Kyauktan:

7:00am Meet your private guide and savvy driver upon pickup from Thiwala cruise terminal and drive to Thanlyin and Kyauktan

Arrive Thanlyin and visit to Kyaikkhauk Pagoda. It’s 4 kilometres outside of the town centre and it was built same as Shwedagon pagoda. In the compound of the pagoda ,there are two cemeteries. One of them is ex-king of Taungoo. Another one is the cemetery of minister Padaytha Yarzar, well know poet in konbaung Era.

Then continue to Kyauk Tan to vitsit Yele Pagoda, a stupa on a small island. You have to take a boat to get to Yele Pagoda . Moreover, there are many giant fishes which you can feed.

Visit to Ancient Portuguese Church.

On the way return to Yangon, our next break point is Parda Gyi Pagoda in Parda Gyi village which is accepted as a ancient palace and small city in history.

 12:00 noon lunch break at local restaurant (pay on own).

After Lunch  retrace to Yangon and visit Botahtaung Pagoda and Ahmagyi Mya Nan Nwe.. The Botahtaung Pagoda is located on the Botahtaung Pagoda Road. Situated beside the Yangon Pagoda is hollow inside and you can walk through it. Ahmagyi Mya Nan Nwe, a devotee to the Botahtaung Pagoda. She was known to be a dragon guarding the pagoda. Hundreds of people come to this place to donate offertories and also to ask for blessing of the sister. Back to Yangon in the late afternoon & transfer back to your cruise ship.

 MYNCRS-04 2 days/ 1night Yangon Bagan – Yangon:

 Day 1: Cruise Terminal – Yangon – Bagan

 Day 2: Bagan – Yangon – Cruise Terminal
In the morning, start your trip with a hotel pickup followed by a visit to Shwezigon Pagoda where you’ll learn about Burmese spirit worship, besides from Burmese Buddhism which you have learned on the previous day. Venture inside to see 37 figures of pre-Buddhist nat (spirit), which were officially institutionalized by Bamar monarchy.

Next, head to Gu Byauk Gyi Temple, which features spectacular murals of Jakarta scenes. Continue on to Khay Min Ga Temples to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of numerous surrounding monuments.

Next up is Ananda Temple. A masterpiece in the incorporation of Myanmar and India architectural styles, the temple houses four standing Buddhas, each facing a distinct direction. Continue on to Mingala Zedi Paya (or Blessing Stupa), which is built in a huge bell-like dome structure.

After lunch in a local restaurant, visit Bagan House Artistic Lacquerware factory to observe artisans working on different stages of lacquer making and see a nice collection of good quality lacquerware. Afterward, board your plane back to Yangon. Trip ends.
