Hello Tony:

We arrived home from our trip to Asia last week and I wanted to write and thank you for helping make it a truly memorable experience. The service we received from Ann Tours, from planning the trip through the actual tour itself far exceeded our expectations. The personalized service was much appreciated and the tour was well suited for our needs, both the adults and the children.

In particular, I'd like to emphasize that the locations we visited and the items on the itinerary were well planned out and enabled us to see and experience a wide variety of the people, culture and history of Viet Nam. The guides and drivers were all competent and professional and made the many transitions very smoothe. Their input about local restaurants and places to visit on our own were very helpful too.

I'd also like to mention specifically that Hung (Hue, Danang, and Hoi An) and Rith (Siem Reap) were outstanding guides. Both of them helped make our experiences in those locales truly exceptional. Both of these guides had an excellent facility with English. They were always polite, respectful and attentive to our needs and interests. Both were also very knowledgeable about the places and sites we visited, and they shared much with us about life and culture in Viet Nam and Cambodia today. Rith also shared some of his personal experiences which we deeply appreciated, and he took us into the village countryside of Siem Reap where we were able to interact with some of the local farmers. We even got to help out in harvesting rice for replanting!

At the Metropole in Hanoi we stayed at both the old and new wings and enjoyed both, although the old wing was our favorite. Thank you for intervening with them for a later check out on our last day. The extra day in Hoi An, and the upgrade to the Junior beachfront suite, was fantastic! La Residence and Angkor Village Resort were first rate accommodations as well.

Thanks again for a terrific experience. We will certainly recommend Ann Tours to our family and friends...some of them are already far more interested in visiting Viet Nam having heard about our trip.

Thank You Tony and all staff[drivers & guide]

I would describe your company as 5 star professional service. From the first contact with Tony he showed that nothing is to much trouble in the planning of this holiday. The guides were great - know the sights that we visited /and the history of the location.

Our special thanks to Dang [our guide in Hanoi] who was with us 5 days [Hanoi and SaPa ] he did every thing with good humour and consideration. Your company's planning of this holiday meant that we could sit back and enjoy Vietnam and not have a moments worry.

I would recommend your service.

Thanks Again

Tony:

I want to thank you for arranging such special tours for us while we were in Vietnam.

Phong and Phi were wonderful guides and the drivers were terrific. We enjoyed Saigon, the Mekong Delta, and the Cuichi tunnels (and were so glad you encouraged us to see the tunnels). Hanoi was beautiful and the hotel was lovely. And Halong Bay was amazing. And I know Jack really enjoyed his golf days.

So many thanks, and we will certainly encourage any friends who want to visit Vietnam to get in touch with you.

Hello Tony

I know Andrew has already been in contact with you to pass on how much we enjoyed the trip you put together for Alex, Charles and myself. However, I just wanted to personally thank you and to also say how much we enjoyed having Phok (I don't know how to spell her name??) as our guide - the perfect level of attentiveness, politeness and good nature. Both my sons enjoyed her company too.

The highlight for Andrew and my trip would have to be the junk on Ha Long Bay - a very special couples holiday.

Well done again Tony.

Best regards,

Fiona R.
Hi Tony

I just wanted to thank you for all your help with our trip to Vietnam. We had the most wonderful time. I think the highlight was definitely the boat trip on the Mekong. The kids loved it and we would all have liked to have another night on board. The resort in Mui Ne was lovely also.

This was our third trip to Vietnam. Steve and I went to Hanoi and Halong Bay in 2007 and last year we took the kids to Hoi An. We are already thinking where we might go in the July holidays as Vietnam is a family favourite.

I really appreciate all your help and I promise I will be contacting you again once we decide where we are going next. I will also be recommending you to all our friends.

Thank again and I will be in contact soon.

Best wishes
Elke
Words are not enough to tell you how pleased we were (and still are) every day. We travel a lot in the world and Vietnam with your company is one of the best trip we've ever had. We even bought a wooden statue in Hoi An and had it sent to France, not being sure it would actually be sent or arrive, but it did!

A lot of my collegues are interested in Vietnam and want me to show them my photos and know the name of your company. I will organize something this week at home and I will give them your name and contact. So if you receive mails from Tahiti, you will understand.

Thank you again,

all the best,
Dominique
Dear Tony,

We just wanted to thank you for the wonderful trip you arranged for us from November to December, covering Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. Everything was enjoyable from start to finish - the hotels were all outstandding, and we loved our tour guides and drivers.

You may remember that we went into Thailand during the political problems they were having. You rearranged everything for us, and everything worked out just fine. We really appreciate all that you did for us.

we will definitely recommend you and your company. Thanks again for everything.

Sincerely,

Dominique W.
Hi Tony:

Diana and I wanted to thank you for all the great planning and assistance for our trip to Viet Nam. We had a wonderful time and we especially enjoyed the guides in each of the areas.

I recognized nothing from my tour there in 1966 - which is a good thing. The country has come a long way in a relatively short period of time. I guess, in the end, we imperialistic capitalists "won". Everywhere we went, ingenuity and opportunity was apparent. And, you sure have some very rich "communists" there.

We loved the people! We especially loved the food. I have no doubt I gained about 10 lbs. on the trip. Now I have to get on my bicycle and get back in shape. Also, the flowers and cake on my birthday was a nice surprise (the cake was especially yummy). That was very gracious.

Speaking of biking, I may be back in touch to talk about coming back to do some cycling. I'm especially interested in the trip from Hue to Hoi An. Any other areas that are not as busy, would also be of interest. I'll let you know as I talk to some of my biking friends.

Again thank you, and I wish you the best of luck for the new Year of the Ox.

Best Wishes, Robin (and Diana)

Dear Tony, As a member of the Carol Sherrill Tour group, I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful experience we had in Viet Nam. Everything you planned worked like clockwork and met our expectations many times over. I wanted especially to compliment your guides, Casper, Phuc and Viet who were great company; helpful, knowledgable, and personalable. Since the four of us all had an interest in food, we were very excited about the choices of restaurants and the wide and wonderful food that we were able to taste. Since we spent 8 days with Viet, I wanted to tell you that his understanding of the history and culture and strong abilty to tell the story made a lasting impression. He alwys went the extra mile to be helpful.

I also wanted to thank you for making my birthday so memorble. The dinner at the Green Tangerine with the delicious cake and beautiful flowers was so very kind. Thank you very much.

I will definitely reccommend Ann tours to friends and hopefully I, myself will be able to return to ViewNam. Sincerely

Rosalind Hirsch
Dear Tony

You are amazing. We received immediate e-mail responses over six months for our proposed Vietnam-Cambodia trip.on in your trip planning, hotel and restaurant suggestions. The highlights were the second day of kayaking in Halong Bay, Hue-the old capital, Hoi An-shopping and swimming, the Victoria Hotel in Can Tho where one should stay two days, and finally the temples at Angkor Wat with Mr. Rith as the guide.

I recommend your organization to anyone who wants to visit your country.

Very truely yours,

Mervyn B

Cruise Ship Reviews

Hi Tony

All is well here in the U.S. – Just wanted to thank you for your generosity in providing us a lovely dinner in Bangkok and the refund for that last tour in Bangkok.
We had a wonderful journey throughout Southeast Asia due to your thoughtfulness in selecting wonderful guides, good hotel accommodations and fascinating places to see.

1 – Taipei Taiwan – Guide was informative – driver was attentive and sights were interesting. Lunch was fun at Taipei 101 building – Had no time to visit Temple - Pick up and drop off at ship was on time.

2 – Chan May Vietnam – Guide was very interesting, personable and friendly – driver attentive. The whole day flew by – so much to see -- itinerary was great. Loved Hoi An and all the sights along the way. This itinerary was a good choice – Pick up and drop off at ship was on time.

3 – Saigon Vietnam– Guide very good – driver was attentive – again the day flew by --- so much to see – not enough time – best part was to meet you. The War Museum was very well presented. Sorry we didn’t get to see the Water Puppet Show – but I don’t think we would have had the time anyway.  Lunch was good and quick – pick up and drop off at ship was on time.

As an aside – we would love to come back someday and really explore your country.

4 – Siem Reap Cambodia - Transfer was on time to the airport. He did not speak English and we had a little trouble finding the check in for Bangkok Air. It was not near where he dropped us off. When we arrived in Siem Reap we were greeted by our guide – He was just great – driver was very attentive. Although it was very hot there also – we were provided water – guide was very concerned about our comfort and had a lovely relaxing lunch – and hotel check in. The day at Angkor Wat was fascinating. Hotel selection was excellent – Accommodations were lovely and food good, as well – good choice. (Even had a massage at hotel – was very reasonable.)
Day 2- Morning trip to Tole Sap lake was a highlight of the whole trip – we saw the fishing villages and its people, close up. Was not touristy – it seemed like a real adventure. Ta Prohm was fascinating – we went there in the afternoon. The guide took us to a dinner-show in the evening – it was fun. Transfers the next morning were on time.

5 – Chiang Mai Thailand – Pick up on time and guide was lovely – driver attentive. Tour interesting and evening dinner – show was lots of fun. Hotel choice was good here also. Accommodations lovely – breakfast good.
Day 2 – We had an absolutely great, lively and fun day at Elephant camp. Visit with mountain tribes very interesting. Evening cruise and dinner – cruise was nice – dinner food was not very good. But the day was so good and guide so nice that it really did not make a difference.
Day 3- Went out of town and visited handicraft markets – did some shopping and went to the hot springs park – was lovely – had a foot massage and saw lots of children there.
Went to night market – think we were shopped out by then.
Day 4- Explored old city – then relaxed at hotel – until our late departure. Hotel was very accommodating – allowed us to have late check out at 5PM – Guide took us to a small, local restaurant to eat before the flight. Food was really good. Guide stayed with us beyond original schedule – that was very thoughtful. Flew back to Bangkok. Pick up was driver only – Although he did not speak English – we did not have any problems.

6 – Back to Bangkok – No tour today –

We are so glad that we found your company and that you provided us with such wonderful services and kindnesses. We will recommend you to anyone who asks about our journey. You really made it memorable.

Best regards,

Sheila and Herb S.
